Koen Verheijden written directed this abstract short movie about a young boy who’s having a hard time letting go. But when he does… A beautiful visual spectacle in which I had the absolute freedom to emphasise it with sound design and music. Since a lot of the on set recordings were damaged or non-existing, I build it completely from scratch, from each footstep to chilly breezes. Then I started composing the music, I felt it needed a kind of epic ness and mystery to create tension and aw. For now here’s the trailer only to give you an idea:
