Kevin van der Heuvel went to Kyrgyzstan where he met Aslanbek. A young boy living with his family in the mountains and living a hard but honest life. His vision is simple; become the richest man in the village and build a house for his mom.
For this documentary I created the sound design and music. Because the conditions for sound recordings were not ideal, all the audio was kind of unusable so I created new layers of ambience, using my own recordings. For the music I wanted it to be sereen and minimalistic so it would match the vastness and emptiness of the landscape. Pure and heartwarming, like the vision Aslanbek has of life in general.
