A cool branding movie for the wetsuit company SRFACE featuring a couple of surf legends: Arthur Lassee, Bo Dirkmaat, Mees Kook, Rhys Smith, Lorna Schaefer and Marlon Lipke. For this clip I recorded the interviews, all sounds and blended them in a sound design music mash up like if it I was back in the hey days of break core/jungle music in the 90’s and 00’s.

Working together with an epic team consisting of director Alexander Debruycker, D.P. Roderik Patijn, Hoorah Digital VFX and many others, I was able to do what I love and do best; make the video even more pop!

Roula El Derbas

 

For Roula, filmmaker Nico de Voogd and I created a portrait in film and sound. This video was presented during the opening of her exposition in the Lebanese embassy in the Netherlands. Roula is a professional painter and has published several poems in which she shares her vision about the difficult situations both political and social of her homeland, Lebanon.

Rewire Educational Project

  

Recently, I was given the chance to give workshops on minimal music compositions, drone and textures. Together with student orchestra of The International School of The Hague, I worked towards a performance on the 12th of February 2018. This wonderful experience is documented by Tanja Busking.

This was part of the Rewire Festival held annually in my hometown The Hague and really is my favourite festival due to its diverse and experimental program. The complete story about the educational program can be read on the blog here.
