Stills, a dreamy, funny and melancholic theater play by Caroline Rottier and 25 disabled people. All 3 shows were sold-out and brought tears and happiness to the audience.
For this piece Luc van Lieshout (Tuxedomoon) and I made long stretched ambient drones using brass instruments and I mostly bowed on a bass guitar. Both using loopers and effects to generate infinite evolving textures that sounded like there’s a complete brass and strings orchestra instead of just 2 musicians on stage.
A 17 minutes long recording from 1 of the live improvisations is one of the very few memories that exists today. Recorded directly from the mixer, best listenable through headphones with your eyes closed, enjoy!
